Acadiana CARES, in conjunction with the LDH / Office of Public Health/STD/HIV/Hepatitis Program, is seeking applicants for an Ending the Epidemic Coordinator – EtE. This position primarily leads and oversees the work of the Baton Rouge Ending the Epidemic Commission. The coordinator will work with commission members and leadership to implement the EtE work plan, convene and participate in local meetings, conference calls and events as well as participate in statewide meetings and conference calls. The coordinator will foster and maintain relationships with community partners including but not limited to local hospitals, local FQHCs, local CBOs, gatekeepers, and community members. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in public health, sociology, social work, healthcare management, marketing, racial or gender studies or closely related field and 3 years relevant professional experience, superior verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients of diverse races, ethnicities, religious affiliations/beliefs, genders and sexual orientations required. Experience coordinating/managing large-scale programs or initiatives and grant writing and presentation/training experience preferred.

Ability to work with people of diverse lifestyles required. Prior experience working in an HIV service, HIV prevention, healthcare, mental health, or substance abuse rehabilitation program preferred.
