EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
 UTILITY CLERK

The City of Port Allen is currently accepting applications for the position of  UTILITY CLERK.  The successful candidate for this position will work under the general supervision of the Utility Office Supervisor and the Chief Financial Officer to provide clerical assistance and office support for various departments.  A work week shall consist of a maximum of 35 hours.  Duties include, but are not limited to taking utility payments, filing, reception, customer service, data entry, and specialized administrative support tasks.  Applicants shall have a high school diploma or G.E.D. supplemented by six (6) months of clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.  

Successful applicants will be subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with the City’s substance abuse policy.
