Graphic Production Specialist, Downtown Albany, NY
CSEA, one of New York State’s largest public employee unions, is seeking resumes for a Graphic Production Specialist for our downtown Albany, NY headquarters. Under the general direction of the Director of Communications, the incumbent is responsible for development, coordination of and/or layout of graphic designs and other collateral produced by the Communications Department. Essential functions include but are not limited to: Layout, production and quality control of publication pages into camera-ready collateral; layout concepts, ideas and design for CSEA publications, printed materials, digital content and other graphic elements; assessing, scheduling, layout and job production in coordination with the Print Shop and other production vendors; processing graphic and print project requests.
Salary $56,629 with excellent benefits.
Qualifications: Associate Degree in graphic arts and three years work experience in desktop publishing/graphic arts/printing field, including experience as production coordinator, design development, and/or system administrator with demonstrated proficiency in desktop publishing (preferably with Apple/Mac system). Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and WordPress and familiar with basic File Transfer Protocol (FTP) procedures. OR High School Diploma or equivalency and five years work experience in desktop publishing/graphic arts/printing field, including experience as production coordinator, design development, and/or system administrator with demonstrated proficiency in desktop publishing (preferably with Apple/Mac system). Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and WordPress and familiar with basic File Transfer Protocol (FTP) procedures. OR a satisfactory combination of appropriate education, training or experience as determined by CSEA.
