EMS Field Supervisor
The Field Supervisor is responsible for coordinating shift activities and designating work assignments to the EMT's and dispatchers. All responsibilities will be performed with an attitude supportive to change, and the employee will be expected to accept the responsibility for maintaining an acceptable attendance pattern. Will be expected to contribute and participate, when requested, in Performance Improvement Programs and perform as a team member. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
NREMT-P State of LA EMT-P required. CPR, Defensive Driving and Hazmat Awareness required; ACLS within one year of hire required, PALS within 6 months required, CPI within 90 day of hire required and PHTLS preferred. GED/High school diploma required. Jefferson Parish permit, Chauffeur's license or equivalent, if an out-of-state license is presented. Related experience 3 years as an EMT Paramedic required with 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
