MRI Tech II

ARRT registered. Louisiana license and MR Registered. CPR required. Registered in MRI within 1 year of employment. Experience preferred for full-time positions.

 

Operates MRI equipment to produce images of designated portions of the body under the guidance of a Radiologist, as well as other related duties.Performs various duties to obtain a quality MRI examination for reach patient. Assists in daily patient scheduling, orientation of work to be performed and inventory of supplies. Addresses multiple tasks and completes all procedures and scans assigned. Performs all duties independently when on call and in absence of coordinator. Demonstrates competence and knowledge in assessing, treating and caring for patients from infancy through geriatrics. Observes all patients for unusual reaction and changes in general condition both physical and mental. Reports such changes to nurse and/or physician.
