RN PACU East Jefferson General Hospital

Provides for the delivery of care of the patient through the utilization of the nursing process maintaining competency in age-specific criteria. Directs and guides patient/family teaching. Directs and guides ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Assists when indicated,in the orientation, skill development, and evaluation of nursing personnel. Nurse practices within the legal scope of practice as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Current licensure to practice nursing in the state of Louisiana. Current CPR certification. Procedural Sedation delineated. ACLS and PALS certification. Minimum of one year med/surg experience highly preferred. Previous PACU experience preferred.
