Therapeutic Recreational Therapist East Jefferson General Hospital

Graduation from an approved school. Shall be licensed or certified therapist able to respond to therapeutic activity needs of the patient population being served.- The incumbent-shall, at a minimum, be a graduate of an accredited four year Bachelor's degree therapeutic recreation program.Hold an applicable and current-license/certificate to practice.-Certification by the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation is desired.- Education/experience in working with the geriatric population is necessary; education/experience serving geriatric patients with mental illness is desired. Conducts and supervises daily therapy sessions for each patient. The type of therapy session will be determined by the patient's needs.
