Project Manager - Immediate Hire  

Franklin Associates is seeking a Project Manager to support our growing disaster recovery, grant management and strategic advisory services business. Over the past 17 years, we have supported state and local government clients throughout the United States to implement a wide range of programs including: disaster recovery, climate adaptation, public health, transportation, and land use planning. As our work expands, we are looking for a candidate who can effectively manage various projects, including proposals of all sizes through the full proposal life cycle, from the bid decision process through production and delivery, technical documents and all other written deliverables for our clients. Successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

  • Analyzing RFPs to derive proposal structures and requirements
  • Coordinating proposal activities across a broad range of personnel, including upper-management, technical staff, editors, graphic designers, and subcontractors
  • Assisting/coaching technical personnel in making proposal contributions and delivering presentations
  • Understanding and communicating the benefits of technical matter to non-technical audiences
  • PR/Communications planning and implementation across all projects
  • Content development across all projects
  • Media relations

Skills Required:

•Ability to collaborate effectively with personnel at all levels, from subject matter experts to the company president •Ability to translate RFPs into proposal requirements and technical features into customer benefits •Strong communication skills (written and verbal) •Ability to organize/prioritize/coordinate •Strong process orientation •Flexibility in rapidly changing circumstances •Experience in spearheading projects of various sizes •Commitment to continual process refinement and self-improvement •Management of sub-contractors and clients •Creation of progress reports and project summary reports •Graphic design a plus •Experience working with publicly funded projects a plus •Experience working on transportation and/or urban planning projects a plus •Proficiency with Microsoft Office products


•Bachelor's degree in Communications or Management related field •5 years demonstrated experience with successful public and private proposal development (including proposals valued at $1M and above) is highly preferred; however, equivalent types of experience will be considered for exceptional candidates •Previous project management experience
