Assistant Director of CE Marketing
The LSU Online Continuing Education Assistant Director of CE Marketing reports to the Executive Director of Marketing of LSU Online & Continuing Education. This position plays a lead role in directing and executing the marketing activities for LSU OCE specific to Continuing Education and owns the responsibility of ensuring strong, quality lead generation and lead nurturing to meet enrollment and retention goals within annual budget guidelines. This position will require high collaboration with the Program Development and Recruitment & Retention teams to contribute to meeting enrollment goals for the CE portfolio and the continued success of Community Programs.
Full oversight, management, and implementation of OCE marketing strategies to enhance lead generation efforts that contribute to portfolio enrollment goals. 30%
Collaborate with Digital Strategy team members on marketing automation for lead nurturing and database marketing initiatives to drive recruitment and retention results, including e-mail segmentation and messaging, texting outreach, creation/execution of webinars, etc. 25%
Execute standard data analytics and report standards; lead marketing team in ongoing training to ensure shared understanding, optimization and ROI. Analyze trends and adjust based on performance results. Report results internally and with program teams on a bi-monthly basis for basic data, and each term for a more strategic update. 25%
Lead public relations channel across the full OCE portfolio: Manage the public relations relationships, outreach, and functions for the OCE team and full portfolio of options to help create a thorough and consistent channel for ongoing publicity nationally. 10%
Research trends on performance metrics, competition, higher education space. Make recommendations for new tests / initiatives to preserve competitive advantage. 5%
Works collaboratively with the Office of Communications and University Relations and adheres to the standards set therein. Other duties as assigned. 5%
Bachelor's degree with 3 years of marketing experience
Specific Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. 3 years of marketing experience, including digital marketing knowledge.
Master's degree with 5-7 years of experience
Specific Experience: Preference to candidates with higher education experience. Position demands an individual who will thrive under pressure and who is comfortable with consistently changing and demanding priorities. Experience with a CMS system, Pardot, Salesforce, texting platforms, Excel, project management software & Google.
Operational Essential Personnel: This position may be asked to continue work operations during an official closure, but not required to report to the physical campus during a closure per FASOP HR-01.
Additional Information: Due to the nature of the position and/or responsibilities, in times of emergencies and/or University closures, this position is considered essential to the operations of LSU Online. It may be required to assist the Office of Communications and University Relations on necessary communications matters in times of crisis, including potentially working in LSUs Emergency Operations Center during those times.
