IT CLIENT SUPPORT ANALYST

 LSU Health New Orleans is seeking to fill a Client Support position with an eager, motivated individual who has provided great IT service as a top priority. This position will ultimately report to the IT Assistant Director – End User Support and be a part of the Administrative Client Support Team. This team provides service to all administrative areas of LSU Health New Orleans including the Chancellor’s Office, Vice Chancellor offices, Facilities, Campus Police, and all other areas of institutional administration. The team provides support for the School of Graduate studies, and supports institution-spanning systems that manage encryption, patching, application installation, and others.

Primary responsibilities and duties of this IT Support Analyst position include:

  • Provide support for end users within LSU Health New Orleans Administration along with associated assistants and staff.
  • Consult with users to assess need and define the role that a system will play
  • Workstation/Laptop support: Computer operating system and software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, virus/malware removal, network connectivity (data cable patching and coordinate network drop activations), and preparation for surplus of old machines
  • Conduct testing to ensure that the systems work as expected. Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
  • Software installation, configuration, connectivity, and/or troubleshooting for, but not limited to:
  • Microsoft: Windows 10, Office, Project, Visio, Forefront, Edge
  • Third-party: Adobe Acrobat, Citrix client, DameWare, Aphelion Fitness Manager, Persona, Maintenance Connection
  • Install, configure, test, and document computer encryption to protect data from unauthorized access

Required Education:

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited four-year college or university

Preferred Experience:

  • Six months or more in desktop support, system administration or related experience.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience with Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy Objects
  • Previous experience supporting systems in Microsoft Active Directory
  • Previous experience supporting print servers
  • Previous experience with disk encryption implementation and support
