ERSEA Specialist

LSU Health Sciences Center, Human Development Center seeks to hire an ERSEA Specialist to 
manage overall eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, attendance, and transition support 
activities for our Early Head Start program. In addition, the ERSEA Specialist is responsible for 
conducting an analysis of the program’s ERSEA policies and procedures and assessing the level 
of implementation throughout the program.

The person in this position will also be responsible for collaborating with the Lead Agency 
managing the coordinated enrollment system for New Orleans publically funded childcare 
programs. This includes filling program vacancies as well as supporting transition activities as 
children become eligible for preschool programming. The ERSEA Specialist also interfaces
with the Louisiana Department of Education Subsidy program and assists families to navigate 
the child care subsidy program.

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field and two years of experience in a social 
service agency that supports families is required. Master’s degree and/or Head Start experience 
preferred.
