Under the direction of the business manager the incumbent provides administration and financial support within the School of Public Health to all five Program Areas within the School. This includes personnel management, financial management, purchasing, and contract administration.The incumbent is responsible for implementing and adhering to all relevant rules, regulations, and policies of the University, the State, and the Federal Government as they relate to the administration and financial operations of the programs, contracts and grants.
The LSU Health Sciences Center – New Orleans School of Public Health is one of six professional schools within the University. The School of Public Health (SPH) provides five Master’s level and three PhD level programs in addition to its numerous research and service programs in order to advance the public’s health and well-being through education, research and service with a focus on issues affecting Louisiana.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Health Administration or related discipline. One year of professional level experience and/or relevant experience. Bachelor’s Degree in another discipline will be considered with an additional 3 years of relevant experience. Master’s Degree in a business related field will substitute for required experience.
