Business Manager 1 Grants and Contracts Specialist
The LSUHSC School of Allied Health Professions seeks to fill a newly created Business Manager 1 position in the Dean’s Office.
Duties to include: Financial management, strategic planning, and financial forecasting for grants and contracts. Manages pre and post award activities for grants for the academic departments and programs. Administer the daily financial activities regarding the grant or contract; initiates and/or manages the execution for a complete routed packet and/or proposal in the Kuali System. Facilitation of all human resource related duties/activities for the grant or contract; and personnel administration/management in relation to award activities, grants, an/or contracts. Serves as the supervisor/overseer for all types of SAHP contract management, eg: professional service agreements, affiliation agreements, business associate agreements, honorariums, revenue clinical/non-clinical agreements, expenditures and memorandum of understanding agreements for the 7 departments and 9 academic programs in the School of Allied Health Professions.
To include: creating new agreements based on the needs or the department/program, maintenance of agreement database entries, timely creation and submission of contract invoices and supporting documentation, record management and reporting; act as the liaison between the School and LSUHSC Contract Management; assure departments and programs operate according to the provisions of all applicable agreements. Incumbent will support and coordinate all training needs for departmental contract representatives; either by acting as the liaison or providing training in area(s) of need in relation to award activities, grants, and/or contracts.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional level experience with pre and post award activities for federal, state, local or private grants. Or, Bachelor’s degree in another discipline with an additional 3 years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree in a business oriented discipline can substituted for 2 years of required experience.
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting with preferred experience of Master’s Degree plus 2 years’ experience managing grants and contracts. Applications will begin with the posting of this advertisement and will remain open until position is filled.
