Clinic Assistant Manager
The Department of Counseling in the School of Allied Health is seeking a Clinic Assistant Manager with the ability to be flexible, multi-task and adapt to the everchanging duties for the department’s patient clinic. Primarily responsible for managing the department faculty practice clinic front office activities in accordance with federal, state and university rules, regulations and policies, the clinic manager will ensure all front office operations run efficiently between patients, clinicians, and the staff, manage patient billing of charges and collection of payments, manage patient medical records, as well as perform other administrative functions under the direct supervision of the clinical director. This position requires communication with other LSUHSC (Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center) schools and departments, referring clinicians, other healthcare facilities and schools, insurance companies, patients, and caregivers. Incumbent must possess strong problem solving skills and the confidence to make decisions and act accordingly. Incumbent must possess language skills to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a diverse population, working independently to enhance work related to front office clinical operations, patient medical billing, maintenance of medical records and other work-related duties, serves as assistant to the clinic director and keeping appointment schedules for the clinic director, faculty clinicians, and interns.
Required Education: Bachelor's 2 years Administrative or Front Office Operations experience required.
