The School of Medicine of the LSU Health Sciences Center in Baton Rouge is accepting applications for the position of Simulation Specialist.  The position is based at LSU Health Baton Rouge’s campus.  Under the broad direction of the Associate Dean and Medical Director of Advanced Learning and Simulation, the primary responsibility of this position is to utilize technologies and methods in the planning, preparation, and execution of simulation-based healthcare training and education events for diverse learners to include all levels of faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or science related discipline and at least 2 years of relevant professional level experience in medical education

OR

• A Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization (Education, Health, Nursing, Human Services, or other relevant field) or additional two years of relevant professional-level experience can substitute for CHSOS Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Nursing
• Current knowledge of Laerdal patient simulation technologies
