Louisiana State University Health-New Orleans is seeking a part time faculty member to teach in the program of Dental Hygiene.  The program offers a baccalaureate degree in Dental Hygiene.  This position includes laboratory, pre-clinical and clinical instruction to dental hygiene students and possibly other LSU Health disciplines.  Travel to local outreach locations for public health rotations and events may be required.  The successful candidate will calibrate with other faculty for consistent grading in clinical and lab settings, advise students and participate in faculty activities when able.

A Bachelor’s degree is required and the candidate must be a Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing.  Candidates must have at least 3 days per week for a year or more in private practice experience.  The candidate must possess or be eligible for a dental hygiene license in Louisiana and possession of or be eligible for local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certifications in Louisiana; Must have possession of a valid driver’s license. Must be CPR Certified.
