The School of Medicine of the LSU Health Sciences Center in Baton Rouge is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Business Manager. The position is based at LSU Health Baton Rouge’s campus. We are seeking a motivated and highly organized individual who will work under the supervision of the Business Manager. Incumbent is responsible for adhering to all relevant rules, regulations and procedures while driving efficiency and maximizing resources in support of the Baton Rouge campus, School of Medicine, and LSU Health Sciences Center’s mission. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that all expenditures are within available sources of funds and are appropriate for the projects and source of funding, accounting, contracts management, purchasing, and human resources. All duties require a high degree of independence, timeliness, attention to details, confidentiality, and initiative.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline and at least 1 year of relevant professional level experience
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in another discipline with 3 years of relevant professional level experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 3 years of professional level experience
- Knowledge and experience in a clinical practice setting
- Knowledge and experience in a Louisiana state position with similar responsibilities
- Knowledgeable of state, federal, and university ‘s rules, regulations, and procedures
