REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related fields or in lieu of degree, at least six years of relevant programming or healthcare technology experience;

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in HL7 and interface development is desired.

· Experience in software, database, web page, and scripting development is desired.

· Experience with PC hardware/software and networking is desired.

· Knowledge of SQL, Visual Studio, C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, Blazor, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap is desired.

· Training or past experience in basic software and process change control procedures and quality control techniques, database administration and system programming is desired.

· Excellent interpersonal communication, writing and documentation skills are desired.

Manual and Physical Skill Required:

Long periods of sitting and working at the computer. Frequent movement throughout hospital for on site work within other departments. Lifting of computer equipment.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Designs, plans, develops, tests, implements, monitors, and supports interfaces and related technical build between the EMR, ERP system, interface engine, and other ancillary systems using HL7, XML, X12, FHIR, and other standards.
    2. Coordinates with EMR analysts, organizational leaders, and software vendors and provides project management for interface and software development projects.
    3. Develops and maintains custom applications utilizing Visual Studio, C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, Blazor, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, or other programming languages and software development tools for those specialized projects where system customization tools cannot accommodate user needs.

    4. Provides technical recommendations and guidance to organizational leaders regarding systems integration, EMR and ERP build, regulatory requirements, databases, and custom software development.

    5. Keeps abreast of new technologies, advancements, and requirements in software development, systems integration, EMR and ERP functionality, and databases.

    6. Brings new ideas to management that will enhance software development efforts and operations.

    7. Documents all custom code and software implementations and provides historical revision tracking of custom application source code through use of the source control management system.

    4. Follows all established HIPAA privacy and security regulations to protect patient privacy.
    5. Follows North Oaks Health System compliance programs and federal and state regulatory guidelines.
