Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of University Advancement invites applications for the position of Advancement Services Manager. This position provides administrative and fiscal support to advancement services functions of University Advancement and plays a vital role in helping University Advancement to achieve its engagement and fundraising goals. The Manager has significant responsibilities in the areas of data and gift entry to ensure the accurate recording through reconciliation of gifts and pledges; produces gift receipts and acknowledgement letters; maintains a matching gift and pledge collection program; develops, implements and maintains the areas of scholarship and donor stewardship; maintains data integrity and adds new data to the database; and distributes reports as related to areas of responsibility.

The successful candidate must be willing to work flexible hours.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university by hire date

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced degree from an accredited university by hire date

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
- Ability to manage daily, weekly and monthly processes to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills with staff and volunteers and proven client service orientation
- Acts with a commitment to ethical fundraising, handling confidential donor and University information with integrity and sensitivity
- Familiarity with relational databases and experience in nonprofit development with knowledge of basic fundraising concepts
- Demonstrated experience in an office environment involving considerable computer work
- Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize work flow
- Must be proactive and have the ability to be a self-starter
- Must possess superior organizational skills, including the ability to balance ongoing projects with ad hoc requests, the ability to work independently with minimal direction, and an ability to work well with others
- Ability to work under deadline pressure with attention to detail and accuracy always as a primary goal
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Experience with query and reporting tools and languages, such as SQL or Crystal Reports a plus
