Chief Information Security Officer

Southeastern Louisiana University invites applications for the position of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

The CISO provides security advising (physical and IT), risk management, and establishment/enforcement of data and information security policy. The CISO works to establish and maintain a culture of shared responsibility that encourages the community to embrace best practices for information security. The CISO serves as a member of the President’s Staff, as well as the Technology Advisory Committee, and Information Technology and Computing Policies Committee.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree or higher in an IT/IS-related field or business administration
Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management and/or information security

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of personal integrity
