TITLE: Director of Child Nutrition Programs

Salary: Certified Masters + 30: $96,741

Certified: $92,837

Non-certified: $91,097

Work duration: 12 months, 240 days, 7.5 hours per day

Application Deadline: Initial Deadline: January 19, 2023 Will remain open until filled Effective 2022-2023 School Year

Responsibilities: • Oversee overall operation of child nutrition programs including personnel management, fiscal management, equipment selection and replacement, menu planning and development, federal and state compliance, District long range strategic planning an procurement of food and supplies, • Lead and supervise all child nutrition program team members including all team members at each cafeteria site and within central office • Knowledge of United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Services Programs • Knowledge of meal pattern requirements as it relates to USDA federal regulations and Dietary Guidelines for Americans • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation per the Department of Health and USDA • Oversee the USDA commodity program and storage of goods within the distribution center • Maintain and further develop student engagement programs • Build and maintain strong working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

Certification Requirements: • Master’s degree with a major in the field of Home Economics, Food and Science or a related field • Louisiana Department of Education Child Nutrition Program Supervisor Ancillary Certificate • Five (5) years of school system leadership experience • Effective communication and supervisory skills • Ability to maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders • Such alternatives to all the above qualifications as the superintendent may find acceptable and appropriate District Support & Commitment: Directors or Child Nutrition Program new to St. Charles Parish Public Schools are provided with extensive and comprehensive support to foster success and growth, including but not limited to: • Professional growth opportunities for upward mobility and career advancement • Participation and support in District On-boarding session • Assignment of a mentor for coaching and orientation • Participation in meetings, in-service training and workshops in order to be successful in job functions
