Teachers of Elementary School Positions for the 2023-2024 School Year at Various School Locations
Responsibilities: Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, including but not limited to: · Setting rigorous yet appropriate learning outcomes · Establishing supportive relationships with students · Engaging students in meaningful, developmentally appropriate, real world discussions and learning activities · Developing authentic and aligned assessments to measure student growth and inform instructional decisions · Collaboratively work with team members to fulfill the mission, vision and beliefs of both the school and the district. · Serve as an ambassador of St. Charles Parish Public Schools through all forms of professional communication.
Certification / Requirements: Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree · Must be Louisiana certified; type `A,' `B' OR `C' - OR- LEVEL 1, 2 OR 3 · Certified in PreK-3rd grade - OR - Elementary Grades 1-5 District Support & Commitment: All teachers new to St. Charles Parish Public Schools are provided with extensive and comprehensive support to foster success and growth, including but not limited to: · Professional growth opportunities for upward mobility and career advancement · Participation in New Teacher Orientation professional development sessions · Assignment of a school based mentor for multi-year support, coaching and orientation · Support from district Instructional Technology & Curriculum leaders and facilitators · Support from District Instruction and Technology coaches
Salary Range: $54,119-$74,519 (Bachelor's/Certified) or $54,971-$74,360 (Master's/Certified)
Work Duration: Nine (9) months 183 Days 7.5 hours per day
