Therapeutic Apheresis RN

The Blood Center is now interviewing for a full-time RN to perform Therapeutic Apheresis on patients of the hospitals that we serve. Although most procedures are scheduled during the weekday day-shift, this position will be part of an on-call rotation for evening and weekend coverage. Dialysis experience is a plus. A valid Louisiana driver’s license and a good driving record are a must! POSITION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE Perform therapeutic apheresis procedures in client hospitals when orders are received.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Licenses: Valid driver’s license and LA RN license

Education: Graduate of accredited nursing program

Experience: One year of IV infusion experience, one year of dialysis experience or one year of hospital nursing experience preferred

Specific Skills: Broad knowledge of medical technology, disease process and pharmaceuticals; excellent communication and organizational skills
