The Administrative Program Coordinator supports the Director, faculty, and staff of the Tulane Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health (CEMCH) to manage administrative and program aspects of the Center’s workforce development activities for trainees in maternal and child health, which include academic programming, community and practice partnerships, and scholarly engagement. The coordinator will serve as a liaison with trainees, community organizations, government agencies, faculty, and staff. The position involves program coordination responsibilities related to the trainee curriculum including but not limited to: internal and external communications, organizing seminars, workshops, and rotations with MCH-related agencies, facilitating service outreach with community organizations, maintaining engagement with external partners, and supporting student presentations to undergraduate students. The Program Coordinator will catalogue MCH volunteer and practicum opportunities in the New Orleans area and research opportunities within the school. They will monitor the progress of trainees and program activities for required evaluation and reporting, maintaining relevant databases. Supports and assists with communications strategy, marketing plans, branding, updates to the website, and social media, including development of Center promotional materials as needed, and preparing content and written materials for dissemination. Facilitates hiring and training of research assistants, organizing and hosting Center events, scheduling, coordination, and facilitation of meetings; supports Center-related logistics, and travel management.
