 The Assistant Dean for Career Development manages the Law School’s Career Development Office (CDO).  The Assistant Dean for Career Development works on a team with five other career professionals and support staff in the CDO, a service division of the Law School. The successful candidate must support our service philosophy of consistent, respectful, and zealous attention to our clients, who include prospective students, current students, graduates, employers and the legal community generally.  The Assistant Dean shares with other CDO professional staff members the responsibility for providing career development counseling and assistance to law students and graduates.  This includes, but is not limited to, providing advice and education on: job search skills; résumés and cover letters; career resources; career options; interview preparation; effective job search strategies; and other related activities.


Additionally, the Assistant Dean develops and manages policies related to the Law School’s career development function consistent with the mission of the CDO, which is to help students to embark on successful job searches and to develop and maintain productive relationships with employers nationwide.
