The Assistant Director is responsible for providing a high level of customer service, establishing service-level agreements with departmental customers, and creating an organizational culture that embraces continual improvement as well as personal accountability at all levels. This position requires to plan organize, supervise, coordinate, and control the activities of the plant operations, and maintenance functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utility systems and infrastructure system in an operative and safe working condition. This position assures competency of all plant operations personnel and assures that during emergency response supervisors and staff considered to be essential personnel are ready and available to provide support to all campuses during such events. This position may require that the incumbent report for duty and work through emergencies, and also can be designated by the supervisor as essential for the accomplishment of work, or for the completion of a critical task.
