Reporting to the Director for the Office of Multicultural Affairs, the success of BIPOC undergraduate & graduate students on the uptown and downtown campuses will be the primary function of this role. The Associate Director is charged with developing a comprehensive strategy to support diversity within My Sister’s Keeper and create opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to engage and create community among BIPOC women on the uptown and downtown campuses.

The Associate Director is directly responsible for the leadership and cultural identity development of graduate and professional students by providing services, advocacy, and programming that complements the graduate and professional student experience and centers the needs of students pursuing a Professional Certification, Master, or Doctoral degree at Tulane. The Associate Director creates a comprehensive strategic plan to support diversity within Religious Life engagement for BIPOC students both undergraduate and graduate students. 

The Associate Director offers culturally responsive experiential learning opportunities that support the mission of the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Carolyn Barber Pierre Center for Intercultural Life. This position is instrumental in advocating with and fostering a strong sense of belonging, intercultural, and intracultural affinity across the Tulane campus community regardless of the undergraduate or graduate program a student is enrolled in. The Associate Director supervises a Senior Program Coordinator for the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
