The Director of Academic Enrichment is the primary point of contact in Newcomb-Tulane College for undergraduate academic enrichment programming for all sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and high achieving students, as well as related co-curricular faculty engagement. The Director must be a visionary and forward-thinking leader, possess a high degree of cultural competency, have demonstrated experience of successfully managing a team of professional staff members and developing successful academically focused student programs, be data-driven, and sustain a high degree of energy, drive, and passion that readily engages and inspires others. 

The Director is also responsible for positioning Tulane University as a recognized leader in academic and intellectual co-curricular student life at an elite research institution. This position is housed within Newcomb-Tulane College and reports to the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. This position supervises the professional staff members that make up the office of Academic Enrichment and serves as student-focused leader to ensure excellence in student programs that produce measurable outcomes towards student success.

The Director has a scope of responsibility that includes campus-wide strategic planning and assessment; programs associated with sophomore year, junior year, and senior year experience; the Newcomb-Tulane College Senior Awards Ceremony; Newcomb-Tulane College grant program; undergraduate research initiatives; the Duren Professorship; and other programs related to academic enrichment initiatives. The Director is also responsible for the development, management, and execution of new initiatives that serve the mission of Newcomb-Tulane College.
