Experienced and dependable individual competent in flow cytometry acquisition and cell sorting, with strong organizational skills and ability to manage moderately complex projects. The candidate should have experience handling biological samples under biosafety level 2+ conditions and be proficient in basic laboratory techniques including pipetting and antibody staining. The Laboratory Supervisor will be required to troubleshoot instrument failures as well and work with instrument manufacturers to solve problems as necessary. The Lab Supervisor I will liaise between users and core personnel, ensuring that required work is accomplished in a timely manner. The candidate will also be required to help develop and implement new assays as required by different investigators for specific research projects. The Laboratory Supervisor I will manage the daily laboratory operations and supervise and coordinate administrative matters. The Laboratory Supervisor I will be in overall charge of the laboratory including inventory management, equipment maintenance, QC/QA compliance, general laboratory maintenance, sample scheduling, and biosafety compliance. The Laboratory Supervisor I will supervise other laboratory personnel and train new staff and users in flow cytometry acquisition and cell sorting. The Laboratory Supervisor supervisors responsibilities will include coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution of supervised personnel.
