The Lead Cyber Security Engineer for Public Safety provides strategic and technical support to Tulane University’s Police Department and Enterprise Risk Management groups. This position reports to the Chief Information Security Officer. This position serves as the senior member of the Public Safety support team. The Lead Cyber Security Engineer serves as the primary contact for Public Safety specific software vendors. This position performs technical evaluation, installation, maintenance, system administration and support for a variety of systems. This position independently performs professional-level systems administration and consultative support.
The Lead Cyber Security Engineer provides leadership in researching and identifying appropriate technology solutions for multiple software applications. This position draws from expressed needs and solutions of clients at all levels of the organization. This position develops detailed requirements, analysis, and recommendations on potential solution acquisitions. The Lead Cyber Security Engineer implements, configures, and maintains major Public Safety specific systems. This position researches and recommends best practices and compliance relating to Public Safety solutions. This position manages the Public Safety team to ensure continuous operational excellence and improvement.
