The Medical Research Technician at the Tulane National Primate Research Center (TNPRC) assists with research projects focused on examining the impact of malaria co-infection on SIV-associated intestinal mucosal dysfunction, as well as how concurrent HIV infection affects malaria infection in pregnancy and subsequent infant immune development. This position assists with daily operational functions of the laboratory, including inventory of supplies, reagents, and specimens and general laboratory and equipment maintenance. This position conducts and assists with experiments performed in Biosafety Level 2 laboratories.
