Certified peer support specialist, with experience and passion for caring for those with severe mental illness, to provide supportive services to clients working on individual treatment goals at EPIC-NOLA.  A peer-support specialist is a person in recovery from a behavioral health condition (mental health, substance use, or co-occurring). While the peer support specialist must have lived experience with a behavioral health diagnosis, the peer support specialist is not required to disclose their specific diagnosis or share treatment records as part of the job description. To maintain patient confidentiality, prevent role ambiguity, and avoid conflicts of interest, individuals who are currently receiving treatment at the clinic are not eligible for the role.
