The Program Manager (PM) works in partnership with staff members of the Office of the Chief Business Officer to manage administrative, operational and financial aspects of the business development, communications and marketing activities for the School of Medicine. The SOM Office of the Chief Business Officer focuses on business operations crucial to the ongoing functions of the SoM, including: Research Business Development, SoM-wide Communications and Marketing, Clinical Service Line Marketing, and Special Projects/Crisis Management as needed by the Senior VP and Dean, SoM. Job may require occassional travel, approximately 5-10% of time.
The PM will oversee the daily administrative operations of the Office of the CBO, which include but are not limited to: coordination of meetings and schedules; organizing and coordinating seminars and events; correspondence with potential and current external and internal partners; database strategy and integrity; project management and prioritization; reimbursements and finances; and assistance in social media and other communications areas.
Also oversees all financial aspects of the CBO’s small portfolio of sponsored research projects, which include but are not limited to: preparing non-technical aspects of research proposals; developing and monitoring subcontracts; preparing and forecasting budgets; preparing quarterly narrative reports; tracking billing and collections; and reconciling accounts.
