Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse at the Tulane Neurosciences East Jefferson Clinic is responsible for the delivery and management of patient care and the oversight of clinic staff members training. They utilize the nursing process, the healthcare environment and current technology to provide a climate which optimizes patient care and staff development. They perform a variety of direct patient care activities and assist with procedures to appropriate level of training and established procedures. Document interactions in the patient's electronic medical record. Assist physicians with procedures as requested. Perform clerical functions to support the practice as instructed, stocks and maintains physical environment of exam and procedure rooms, and crash cart. Codes and schedules physician surgeries, orders tests, as per physician orders.
