Works with the Associate Provost forthe Health Sciences and Principal Investigator on multiple extramural grants tomanage calendar, coordinate meetings (internal and external), and manage thepersonnel to support unit goals. The position is responsible for scheduling andcoordinating of the Associate Provost’s calendar, unit meetings, logisticalarrangements for conferences, workshops and meetings, coordinating andprocessing of travel arrangements, processing and tracking expenditures, andpreparing reports and correspondence. The Section Administrator will serve as acentral point of contact for all units reporting to the Associate Provost ofthe Health Sciences and will assist with events and programmatic events asneeded. The position supports the Associate Provost in her other administrativeroles (e.g., Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, Associate Dean forPublic Health and Medical Education, research projects) by coordinating withstaff in other offices to schedule special projects and events, as assigned,and perform data entry for registrations (e.g., faculty developmentinitiatives). Will work with the relevant faculty and staff in the unit toachieve the faculty career development and research program goals. Will assistfaculty, staff, and student workers in the unit with existing and new grants,from funding proposal to implementation and conclusion. Will assist withpersonnel hiring and onboarding for the unit. Will assist with managingsupplies equipment and space and ensure compliance with Biosafety and OEHSpolicies. Will work closely with Sponsored Projects Administration and Grantsand Contracts Administration and ensure financial compliance with external andinternal funding sources. Will work closely with the Dept Director of Budgetsin the SOM and the Provost’s office to prepare annual budget and preparevariance reporting.
