The Senior Payroll Specialist is the lead position responsible for performing a variety of technical and professional duties involved in the processing of Tulane’s bi-weekly and monthly payrolls. This position maintains payroll systems and processes paychecks according to schedule and in the correct amount, ensures payroll processes are compliant with state, federal, and local payroll systems by implementing best practices as and when regulations change, and researches and resolves complex, non-routine problems. As Lead, this position may provide guidance and direction for less experienced payroll practitioners and direct their daily work.
