The Senior Program Manager manages multiple nutrition and food security grants with research, policy, training, and communication components. This includes supervision of staff assigned to work on these components within these grant-funded projects. It also includes overseeing data collection activities, and management of project compliance with Tulane, IRB, and funders.
The Senior Program Manager is the administrative liaison to other university sub-contractors funded under these grants. This includes the planning and organization of ongoing teleconference meetings with these partners, as well as managing the logistics involved in hosting in-person meetings. It also includes contributing to the writing of progress and summary reports to funding agencies, as well as scientific publications, if desired.
The Senior Program Manager maintains databases on graduate trainees that track their progress on various milestones for the MPH degree. This position communicates such progress, both to the Director and to the trainees themselves. This position assists with student recruitment to these programs. This position is funded through external training and research grants.
