The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery of the LSU School of Medicine is seeking a very well organized and highly motivated individual for the position of Residency Coordinator. Under the general direction of the Residency Program Director, the Residency Coordinator will support the residency program and Residents on all Graduate Medical Education matters. This will involve managing and overseeing training program compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation standards, LSUHSC-NO policies and procedures, and other regulatory requirements. The successful candidate must be able to work independently to complete all duties and assignments in a timely manner, be able to effectively communicate with residents, faculty and staff, and be able to formulate, communicate and coordinate action plans, timelines, and schedules related to program planning. A high degree of demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, independent decision-making, and organizational ability will be necessary to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications: *Bachelor’s degree * Two (2) years of work experience * Master’s degree can substitute for 2 years of experience * Experience with computers including Microsoft Excel and Word
